Frictional Pressure Drop for Gas–Liquid Two-Phase Flow in Coiled Tubing

Coiled tubing (CT) is widely used in drilling, workover, completion, fracturing and stimulation the field of oil gas exploration development. During CT operation, will present a gas–liquid two-phase flow state. The prediction frictional pressure drop for fluid tube an important part hydraulic design, its accuracy directly affects success technique. In this study, we analyzed effects void fraction, curvature ratio inlet velocity on CT, numerically. Experimental data verified simulated results. Flow friction sensitivity analysis shows reaches peak at fraction 0.8. gradient increases with increase ratio. As strength secondary velocity, increased trend aggravated. correlation factor coiled developed by regression simulation research results can support high quality hydraulics through which operations be guaranteed.
